Portland Last Night

One of my favorite Blazer blogs, Portland Roundball Society, features a ton of infographics and resources breaking down the previous Blazer games. Today they had a chart displaying how the points added up by quarter, which may sound simple, but it gets interesting to see where each team had most of their points. I'll post it here.

As you can see, it looked like the Blazers had things under control for the first half of the game, but the Mavs took over and finished my guys off down the stretch.

Bummer.

LeBron James' Top 10 Plays of the 2011 Season

LeBron James, one of the best players in the game, signed with the villainous Miami Heat this offseason. Fascinating storyline and it's been hard not to watch these guys take over the league this year. Dude is still an absolute freak of nature, as this clip of his top plays shows.

Playoffs!

Last week the NBA Playoffs started - naturally I'm glued to my TV and my iPhone NBA app. So far the games have been great. Lots of upsets and games that go down to the wire. Especially looking forward to the Bulls' run and the Blazers in the west.

A thing of beauty

Shawn Kemp was always my favorite dunker as a kid. I've watched this video probably 20 times. His top ten dunks of all-time:

The End of the NBA in Sacramento

There's a good chance that the Sacramento Kings will be leaving town after this summer, moving to the already over-saturated market of Anaheim, California. Bummer. Here's a video from their glory days I dug up.

Vintage Women's Basketball Photos

I found these photos about a year ago on an NBA blog. I can't remember which one but luckily I had them saved in a folder on my computer. Fascinating look at vintage women's basketball uniforms. It's pretty dynamic photography as well. Check out the sashes in that first photo.
